COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated forward Marian Gaborik off injured reserve after he missed the past 22 games, along with the Sochi Olympics, because of a broken collarbone. The Blue Jackets play Thursday night at New Jersey in their first game after the NHLs Olympic hiatus. A native of Trencin, Slovakia, Gaborik has represented his country at the 2006 and 2010 Olympics but was unable to play in Sochi because of his injury. Gaborik was hurt in a 6-3 home win over Philadelphia on Dec. 21. He has five goals and seven assists in 18 games with Columbus this season. He has scored 40 or more goals in a season three times.
